Sand Dunes.
December 26, 2009
These photographs come from the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, located southwest of Pueblo. My family has gone camping here several times, even spending a night on the dunes themselves. This locale contains many interesting features, patterns, and textures. Go around Labor day if you want to catch the Medano creek full with snowmelt. If you have a 4×4, try camping along the Medano pass road to avoid the crowds.

Great set of pics! Keep up the good work. I hope you rescued the boy stranded in the sand bank. GG
